Privacy
Short version: the communication profile stays on your device. We never receive what you put in it.
That matters more here than on most sites. What you would enter — how much social contact you can handle, what overloads you, how you prefer to be contacted — could reasonably be read as information about your mental health. That is exactly the category of data that should not be sitting on someone else's server.
The communication profile
Your answers stay in your browser. They are not uploaded, not stored by us, and not attached to any account. We could not show you your own profile from our side, because we do not have it.
What we do count: whether anyone started the tool and whether anyone finished it. That is a count of events, with no content attached. We cannot tell from it what you selected, and we cannot tell that two events came from the same person.
Clearing your browser data deletes it. There is no copy on our end to restore. This is a deliberate trade: it means we cannot lose your data, and it also means we cannot recover it for you.
Sharing is something you do, not something we do. If you export or copy your profile to send to someone, that copy travels through whatever you send it with. Nothing is shared automatically.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we keep what you type into it: an email address, and optionally a city, an age range, and whether you are looking for friends or dating. We use it to contact you if matching opens, and for nothing else.
We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to advertisers. You can ask us to delete it at any time through the contact page.
Joining the waitlist does not create an account or a profile. There is nothing to create an account in yet.
What we do not run
No advertising pixels. No session recording. No heatmaps. No cross-site tracking. No Facebook pixel, no Google Analytics, no third-party script that watches what you do on the page.
This is checked automatically before each release rather than being a promise we remember to keep.
Server logs
Our host records standard request information — IP address, timestamp, which page, what browser — as a normal part of serving a website. We use it for security and to keep the site working.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you. For the communication profile there is nothing to request, because we do not have it. For the waitlist, ask through the contact page.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the updated date above changes and the change is noted on the corrections page.
